Gülce Yelken

BIOGRAPHY / IZMIR, 1981

Gülce Yelken (b. 1981, Izmir) graduated from Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Sculpture in 2010, and completed graduate studies at Dokuz Eylül Institute of Fine Arts, Sculpture in 2015. She works across natural and man-made materials—wood, marble, metal, mirror, concrete—often foregrounding “sound” as both process and form. Her series “Sound Form” explores the material’s transformation and the time embedded in making through sculpture and installation.
