Biography

Mehmet Öğüt (b. 1981, Diyarbakır, Turkey) is a contemporary artist known for his conceptual and socially engaged practice, often exploring themes of politics, power, and collective action through installations, performances, and participatory works. Based between Amsterdam and Berlin, Öğüt has exhibited internationally at institutions such as Tate Modern (London), Van Abbemuseum (Eindhoven), Kunsthalle Lissabon (Lisbon), and Istanbul Modern. He often collaborates with communities, activists, and fellow artists to question social systems and provoke critical thought.
