Sait Mingü

Sait Mingü (b. 1977, Istanbul) is a contemporary, expressionist figurative artist working across acrylic, ecoline, and digital media. Blending handmade drawings and paintings with new-media techniques, he develops a distinctive visual language that merges illustrative elements with traditional painting and works on paper. A graduate of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University’s Faculty of Painting, he worked as an Art Director at Güzel Sanatlar / Saatchi & Saatchi (2001–2006) before becoming a full-time artist. His works have been shown in Turkey and abroad, and he received the Hugh Casson Drawing Award at the Royal Academy, London (2014).
