About the Exhibition

Çağla Cabaoğlu Gallery Participates Contemporary Istanbul 2014 With The Works Of 25 Artists In Booth Number LK 104.

With a dynamic, pluralist and multi-disciplinary booth presentation, Çağla Cabaoğlu Gallery participates in the 9th Contemporary İstanbul on 13th – 16th of November, 2014. The pluralist team of the gallery includes well-known figures of Turkish Art with their own styles of abstract or figurative approaches, resulting in surface works or three-dimensional art, such as Bedri Baykam, Hayri Esmer, Nadide Akdeniz, Fatmagül Karadeniz, and Levent Morgök. Also participating are the alternative form pioneers of the “younger generation” representatives like Barış Sarıbaş, Seçil Büyükkan, Kerem Ağralı, Seydi Murat Koç, Gökhan Deniz, and Beyza Boynudelik.

One of the prominent qualities of the gallery is the desire for permanency in sculpture production and presentation, and Fulya Asyalı, Güneş Çınar, Hakan Çınar, Alev Gözonar, and Uğur Çakı step up to the pedestal to represent the three-dimensional works of our booth with their sculptures and reliefs made of wood, metal, and ceramic. And finally, we can add Emre Namyeter’s surface and relief works, in which he uses the abstract and plays with the viewers’ process of perception, Sevincy’s “pop” approach, Mehmet Sinan Kuran’s place at the forefront as a modern miniature artist, and we can finish this wide list of artists with Seda Gazioğlu, who is crossing back and forth between the borders of art and design.
